In the world we are living today, most often people would just click, or push a button; everything can be done in an instant. We are living in the digital age in which the technology of ours is getting smaller and smaller by the minute. Way back in the 1960’s and 1970’s, computer servers which provide data exchange among companies and internet access to the public would fill up huge rooms. And even way back in the 15th century, people back then used the abacus as a means to calculate their sales and exchange amongst their customers. The abacus was considered to be the very first computer and portable device. It’s simple but was a huge help among businessmen to formerly made deals and fair exchange among their clients.
The first ever portable device was a device called the Walkman in which it lets people play music using stereo cassette tapes while always on the go. A person who goes by the name of Andreas Pavel invented the device through which Sony had interest in. In 1979, Sony manufactured and sold pavel’s invention under the Walkman name. Throughout time, it had evolved into something very popular among teens and adults alike who are always away from their homes. More companies had adapted the idea of portable devices as years would go by in which the portable CD player was made later on to replace the portable audio cassette tape players. By the late 1990’s and early 2000, more portable devices are being made, namely a portable dvd player with an LCD, portable cd player, and laptop. This is in turn would give way to other portable devices such as Sony’s PSP and apples iPad and iPhones line up.
The technology we have in today’s time is really getting quite smaller and faster. It won’t be long now till we see portable devices as small as our finger tips in which it would just deliver holographic images of the exact same computer desktops that we use in our homes to browse the web or access our files.
